Ultraviolet Radiation (so-called UV or Ultraviolet Rays or Ultraviolet Light) is electromagnetic radiation, belonging to the electromagnetic spectrum, which emits a shorter wavelength than that of visible light but longer than X-rays.
The name means "beyond violet" (from Latin ultra, "beyond") because the spectrum consists of electromagnetic waves with higher frequencies than those that humans identify as the colour violet, being the one with the shortest wavelength.
Ultraviolet Curing commonly known as UV Curing is a photochemical process in which high-intensity Ultraviolet Light is used to instantly cure or “dry” inks, coatings or adhesives.
UV formulations are liquid monomers and oligomers mixed with a small percent of photo initiators, and then exposed to UV energy.
UV Lamps supplied by IRUV Tech are manufactured from a quartz tube, sealed at both ends, containing a small quantity of mercury and an inert gas. We supply an extensive range of Medium Pressure UV Curing lamps for most UV Curing systems in the market. Lamps can also supplied to customer specifications.
UV Lamps are supplied for the following applications:
Curing of UV Adhesives
Curing of UV Coatings
